James Gorzynski, CPA is a 1975 magna cum laude graduate of Mercyhurst College with a bachelor's degree in accounting.  While there, he received the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants Award for Excellence in Accounting Studies. He resides in North East.

In 1978, he founded his firm in North East, Pennsylvania. In 2001, he founded Gorzynski, Uglow & Farrell, P.C. He is responsible for firm administration and has a professional concentration in small business advisory services and tax planning. 

Jim was active in the formation of the North East Community Foundation and a current member of the Foundation Board, Jim is also a former member of the Mercyhurst-North East Advisory Board.  He a former director of, and is currently a member in the North East Area Chamber of Commerce.  He is a member of Lakeview Country Club, the North East Exchange Club, the Erie Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Carl A. Farrell, Jr., CPA, is a cum laude graduate from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, with a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a major in accounting.  Carl is also a Cathedral Preparatory School graduate. He resides in Millcreek Township.

In 1986, Carl joined the Firm. He is currently a principal of Gorzynski, Uglow & Farrell, P.C. and is responsible for the Firm's Quality Control. Carl specializes in individual and small business tax planning and compliance. In addition, he has expertise in accounting for non-profit organizations.

Carl is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. For the past fifteen years, he has served on the Mount Carmel Parish Finance Committee.

Joyce Grolemund, CPA, is a graduate of Penn State-Behrend College, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She resides in Greenfield, Pennsylvania.

Joyce is currently a principal of Gorzynski, Uglow & Farrell, P.C. and has been with the Firm since 1991. Joyce concentrates in individual tax and small business tax and financial statement preparation and performs audits of nonprofit organizations.

Joyce is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

John Morgante, a CPA since 2017, is a summa cum laude graduate of The State University of New York at Fredonia, with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He resides in North East.

He joined the Firm in August 2017 and currently specializes in tax services and small business accounting. John concentrates in small business and individual tax and financial statement preparation. John became a principal in October 2023.

John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Carol B. Canter, CPA, is a cum laude graduate from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting.  She is a graduate of North East High School and she resides in Erie.

Carol joined the Firm in 1986. Currently, she is a principal of Gorzynski, Uglow & Farrell, P.C.

Carol is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma, Beta Alpha Psi and Garnet and Gold Junior Women's Honor Society.

Marcie Dailey is a small business tax, accounting and Quickbooks advisor and has been with the Firm for over thirty years. Marcie graduated from Seneca High School, Wattsburg, Pennsylvania, where she took three years of accounting. Marcie successfully completed the H&R Block training course and the Erie County Vo-Tech accounting course. Marcie is a member of A.B.A.T.E. of Erie County. She resides in Harborcreek.

Marcie takes advantage of ongoing education classes with the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, meeting the annual requirements in the fields of accounting and income taxation.

Cara DeVore is the Office Administrator and has been with the Firm for thirty-nine years. Cara is a North East High School graduate and has also attended classes at the Manufacturer’s Association and Personalized Computer Instruction. She resides in North East.

A few of her duties at the Firm, include the organization and coordination of office operations and procedures; client services; and the compilation of financial statements and tax returns. She is proficient in Corel Wordperfect, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Andrew Farrell is a 2019 graduate of the Penn State-Behrend College Black School of Business with a major in accounting. He is currently continuing his education for the purpose of obtaining a Masters in Professional Accountancy from the Black School of Business. He intends to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant exam upon graduation. His curent focus is on small business tax preparation and accounting.

Andrew is a graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School where he currently serves as assistant varsity and junior varsity head coach on its lacrosse team. 

Leslee Gorzynski attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated cum laude from Mercyhurst College, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is also a graduate of Bradford Business School.

Leslee is currently a manager/supervisor of the Firm and has been with the Firm for over forty years. She concentrates in small business and individual tax and financial statement preparation.

Leslee volunteers in her church and has served on its audit committee, church council, financial secretary, and on the Endowment committee. Leslee resides in North East.

Leslee takes continuing education classes with the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, meeting the annual requirements in the fields of accounting and income taxation.

Kimberly Mazza is a small business tax, accounting and Quickbooks advisor and has been with the Firm for over thirty years. Kim is graduate of Harbor Creek High School and has also attended advanced classes at Edinboro University and Gannon University. She resides in North East. 

Kim takes advantage of ongoing education classes with the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, meeting the annual requirements in the fields of accounting and income taxation. She is fluent in Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks and other specialized computer software. Kim is a member of the Quickbooks Professional Advisors Program, and has completed certification curriculum. She is also the Firm technology administrator.

Carlene Williams is a small business accounting and Quickbooks advisor and has been with the Firm for over forty years. In addition, she supervises our payroll department, handles HR responsibilities, and serves as internal accountant for the Firm. Carlene is a graduate of North East High School, starting her career at the Firm before graduation. She resides in North East and gives much of her time as a volunteer with Therapy Dogs United and American Red Cross NWPA K9 Comfort Team.

Amy Gorzynski is a small business accounting and Quickbooks advisor and has been with the Firm for five years. Amy is a graduate of Gannon University with a major in accounting. She resides in Erie with her husband Chip and daughter Morgan.
