The principals of Gorzynski, Uglow & Farrell, P.C. include James W. Gorzynski, Carol (Uglow) B. Canter, Carl A. Farrell, Jr., Joyce L. Grolemund, and John G. Morgante, all of whom are certified public accountants.

Our objective is to provide quality accounting, auditing, tax and management advisory services to our clients.  To this end, we expect to limit our practice to those clients we can properly serve.

We expect our growth to be through referrals. We hope to retain our local identity and personal relationship with clients who have been foundations of our practice.

PHILOSOPHY OF PRACTICE

Our firm's philosophy is to provide high quality service in accounting, auditing, tax and business planning, estate planning and related services.  Basic to this philosophy is the adoption of the highest standards of excellence in recruiting, training and professional development to assure that our clients are provided quality service on a timely basis.  Our firm has taken the following steps to promote technical excellence within its practice:

Membership in the AICPA and the PICPA.  As a condition for continuing membership in the AICPA, member firms are required to have a quality review done every third year on the firm's procedures and policies in order to assure compliance with industry standards. We have successfully participated in this review, most recently for 2021, which was performed by a group of CPA's from outside our practice region. Firms can receive a rating of pass, pass with deficiency(ies) or fail. We at Gorzynski, Uglow & Farrell, P.C. are proud of our peer review rating of pass.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE).  All licensed CPA's in Pennsylvania are required to obtain 80 hours of CPE credits in each biennial licensure period.  Gorzynski, Uglow & Farrell, P.C., presently requires all professional staff to obtain annual training in taxation, accounting and auditing that exceeds minimum licensure requirements in their area of expertise.

Internal Revenue Service Preparers - All of our tax preparers are registered annually as enrolled IRS tax preparers and meet the necessary requirements for this accreditation.
